Few years ago, an engineering company approached us because they needed someone to help them with their HR issues. When talking to them we found out that they have no need for a full time HR person, but they need someone professional to help them part time. We decided that we can "borrow" one of our HR services colleagues. The idea was developed further and since then and now on our colleague visits this company once or twice a week and deals with various HR issues: recruitment, onboarding, exit interviews, job contracts and other related HR documentations and helps to find reliable third part suppliers.

In other situations, external HR services are beneficial even when your company has HR department but because of an extra project or increased work load wants to outsource part of the functions from the outside supplier.
